About
Molly · Occupational Therapist
My love for occupational therapy began in 2015, when my dad spent three months in hospital following a serious medical episode. I remember observing one of his therapy sessions and thinking to myself, “That is sooo me. I'm going to be the person helping someone like this one day!” That experience has stayed with me ever since, shaping the OT I've become and ultimately inspiring me to pour that same passion and care into a practice of my own.
Since becoming an OT, I've had the opportunity to work across rural hospital and community settings, including inpatient geriatric rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and hand therapy, as well as community-based NDIS work supporting people with a wide range of needs.
I'm what you'd call a generalist OT. I like to say I know a little about a lot. I purposefully keep my practice broad because I love that no two people or two days are the same. Working across the lifespan brings plenty of variety and keeps my clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills on their toes!
That's a big part of why I started Communio. I genuinely love what I do and I feel privileged to be welcomed into people's homes, hear their stories and support them through important moments in their lives. I created Communio to build a practice where people feel heard, their goals are taken seriously and therapy is shaped around them and the people important to them.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me out on a long walk, spending time with my three birds or getting my hands dirty with the next DIY project (which may or may not go to plan…).
What matters to us
Your goals, priorities and preferences shape what we do. We take the time to understand what's important to you and work together on a plan that feels right for you.
We recognise your abilities, interests and strengths, not just the challenges you face. These are just as important in shaping how we approach therapy and work towards your goals.
We want you to feel informed and involved every step of the way. That means clear explanations, open conversations and making sure you understand your options without the complicated language.
We'll be upfront about what we think will help, what might not and why. You can expect thoughtful recommendations, realistic expectations and straightforward conversations.
